Cookie Policy

Short version: this site sets no cookies. It writes one value to your browser, for the length of the tab, so the opening animation does not replay while you look around. There are no analytics cookies and no advertising trackers, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing here to consent to.

Cookies and browser storage

A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep and hand back on the next request. Local storage and session storage do a similar job in a different way: the browser keeps the value and the page reads it, but nothing is sent back to a server automatically.

Because all three affect what is stored on your device, all three are listed here rather than only the one that is technically a cookie.

Everything this site stores

Cookies and browser storage used on pixnut.com
NameTypeCategoryWhat it doesHow long it lasts
px_seen Session storage Essential Records that the opening animation has already played, so it does not replay as you move around the site. Cleared when you close the browser tab.

That is the whole list. If it changes, this table and the date at the top of the page change with it.

The one thing this site stores

Session storage, cleared the moment you close the tab. It records that the opening animation has played so it does not replay as you move between pages. It identifies nobody, it is never sent anywhere, and it cannot be read by any other site.

There is no second category. There used to be an analytics one, and a notice asking whether it could run; both are gone. Google Analytics was removed from this site, so nothing here sets a cookie and nothing needs your permission.

What this site does not do

There are no advertising or remarketing cookies, no conversion pixels, no social media trackers, no embedded videos or social feeds, and no third-party fonts. The typefaces are served from our own domain, so opening a page does not announce your visit to a font network.

One exception is worth naming. The enquiry form runs Cloudflare Turnstile, which may set its own short-lived storage while it works out whether the submission is coming from a person. It is a security check rather than analytics, it loads only when you reach the contact section, and it does not follow you between sites.

Nothing to opt out of

There is no consent notice on this site and no setting to change, because nothing is stored that would need one. The single session value is cleared when you close the tab, and the page counting described below never touches your device at all.

If that changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.

Controlling this in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete site data in its privacy settings. Doing that here clears one thing: the note that the opening animation has played, so it will play again on your next visit. Nothing else on the site depends on stored data.

A tracker blocker will also stop the page counting described above, and the site works exactly the same without it.
