How we work

How we work.

Six stages, each with a purpose and a decision at the end. A website or a campaign uses a few of them; a new brand uses more. Every engagement uses the stages the work actually needs.

The six stages

Understand. Define. Create. Build. Refine. Deliver.

Every engagement uses the stages it needs. Choose a situation to see the usual path.

  1. Understand

Read the business, its audience and the market it competes in.

    You receive

    • Findings summary
    • Competitive landscape, where needed

    You decide

What is really true about the business, and what the work must fix or claim.

  2. Define

Set the position, the idea and the brief the work answers to.

    You receive

    • Positioning and messaging, or a project brief
    • Scope and plan

    You decide

    The direction, from clear options.

  3. Create

Develop the identity, the ideas and the creative direction.

    You receive

    • Identity or creative direction
    • Key designs

    You decide

    The direction to build.

  4. Build

Make it real: guidelines, websites, campaigns, content and assets.

    You receive

    • Brand guidelines and templates
    • Website, campaign or content

    You decide

    What is ready to finish.

  5. Refine

Test, review and finish every detail properly.

    You receive

    • Reviewed and corrected work
    • Checks on every screen and format

    You decide

    Approval to launch.

  6. Deliver

Launch, hand over and support what comes next.

    You receive

    • Final files and handover
    • Launch support, and ongoing work where agreed

    You decide

What to keep doing, and what to build next.

Scoping

Scoped to the business, not to a package.

After a first conversation we propose the stages that matter, what each will produce and a timeline. Costs are set in that proposal, because they depend on what the work involves. Projects are briefed, reviewed and delivered remotely, so where you are based is rarely the deciding factor.

Start with a conversation.
